Hi I'm Dustin
I'm a missionary. I love sports. I love good friends and food, and I'm a Mormon.
Well, the main thing about me is that I'm a sports fanatic. I grew up playing sports so I love doing any kind of sports, sports are my main hobby/interests. I love being with my friends and making many fond memories with them. I have a mom and a dad who are awesome and whom I love so much. I have taken a year of college to get some of my generals out of the way because I have no idea what I want to do when I grow up but I still got some time to decide that. I'm 19 years old and love my life, I just grip it and I rip it.
I'm not gonna lie I did grow up a member of the church and going to church every Sunday became a way of life for me and I just followed it and believed it to be true because its just what we did as a family, but everyone needs to find out for themselves the truthfullness of it at some point or another in their life. I have had many experiences in my life which have helped me find my own testimony that the church is true! For one, when I was 12 I had the opportunity to go to the Sacred Grove in Palmyra, New York where Joseph Smith had his vision and from just walking through the Grove, you could feel a sense of peace and the feeling that Joseph really saw who he said he saw and that he did restore Christ's original church back on the earth! Also another time is when I got hurt at a basketball camp and my dad was gone and I asked my friends dad, who is now my Stake President, to give me a priesthood blessing. In that blessing he told me that everything would be ok and that my hip would heal and it wouldn't give me any troubles and sure enough, a few weeks later my injury was healed and I was able to enjoy all the things I love to do again. That experience helped me come to know that the priesthood, the power of God given to man, really can work miracles and can bless one's life greatly and that the priesthood was restored through the Prophet Joseph Smith. How can the church not be true? I've come to know that if everything that Joseph Smith said and did was made up, then the Saints and the church would not have gotten to where it is today! I know without a doubt that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true church upon the earth today and contains the fullness of the everlasting gospel and no one can take that knowledge away from me!
I live my faith in many ways. But basically, I always strive to follow my Savior Jesus Christ and be an example to those around me. By going to church, studying the scriptures and just being the best person I can be is how I live my faith. And by being obedient to the commandments, my faith grows constantly.
