Hi I'm Julie

I am a daughter, a sister, a daycare teacher..I am also a blogger and vlogger and I'm a Mormon

About Me

Hi I'm Julie. I live in a Lynnwod which is a suburb north of Seattle where I've lived my entire life. I have been a member of the church my entire life, however it wasn't until my late teens early 20's that I really gained a testimony. I attend my local YSA (Young Single Adult) Ward where I am currently serving as a Visiting Teaching Supervisor. I work full time as an assistant Pre-K teacher. My hobbies include doing makeup for myself and friends, I love vlogging and blogging, I also love singing, dancing and acting. I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon first and formost because I have a testimony that it is true. I can say that being a mormon my entire life it is easy to think that. But even though I was a member my entire life it wasn't until my early 20's that I truly gained testimony that it is true. I have felt the Savior's Atonment in my life and He has blessed me in SO many ways I can't even begin to describe. I know that if we "build a sure foundation, we CANNOT fail." (Helaman 5:12)

How I live my faith

I currently am serving as a Visiting Teaching Supervisor (the progam organinzed in where 2 sisters are assigned 2-3 sisters to visit and deliver a message as well as providing any type of service to them)

What is the difference between attending church and the temple?

Julie
The difference between church attendence and temple attendace is that church EVERYONE is welcome. That is where we have our Sunday worship as well as different activities during the week. The temple is a sacred place where special and sacred ordinances are performed that members of the church who are in good standing and have a current reccomned that says they are in good standing are able to participate in. While a dedicated temple isn't open to the general public all are welcome to tour the temple grounds. To gain a temple reccomend you must be a baptized and confirmed memeber of the church for at least one year and normally temple reccomends are issued when the person in question is in their mid 20's or preparing for a mission, you need live basic gospel principles (such as keeping the law of chastity, the Word or Wisdom, etc...), the you have an interview with your bishop and stake president and he will ask you certain questions to your worthiness, and if the answers are satisfactory then you will be issued a temple reccomend. How can I know Mormonism is true?

Julie
What I can urge you to do to know if Mormonism is true is request a free copy of the Book of Mormon, and I urge you to pray with real intent if what you read from the Book is true. I also urge you to talk with the missionaries who can be able to answer any questions you may have about the church. Show more Show less
