Hi I'm Whitney

I am a young novelist that wrote 7 novels before turning 21 and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an avid reader that enjoys several different genres from fantasy to historical fiction and many in between. I am a college student working to pass my classes. I love working with children. I love to sing and I also love writing stories and poetry for fun.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the Church and was baptized into it when I was eight-years-old. For the first ten years of my life I mostly lived off of my parents' testimonies. When I was ten, I read the story of the First Vision of the Prophet Joseph Smith and I could feel a witness in my heart that what I was reading was true. After that I wanted to learn more. I've read The Book of Mormon, the New Testament, the Pearl of Great Price, and the Doctrine and Covenants many times and I've recently finished reading the Old Testament. All that I read testifies to me that Jesus is the Christ and that He atoned for our sins and He took upon Himself our sorrows. I know that the Savior lives. I know that He loves me and wants me to succeed. With His help I can make it through the difficulties of life. This is what helps me through my struggles. Whenever I feel afraid that I'm not going to make it, it is a great comfort to know that I can call upon Him for help.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by daily prayer and scripture study. I believe the scriptures provide answers to the problems we face in life, so I do everything I can to understand what I read. I attend church meetings every week and I work on family history. I believe that through learning about those who came before, we can come closer to the Savior. I work hard to keep the commandments and follow in the footsteps of my Savior by doing what is right. Through all these things, I seek the Lord's direction in the paths I should take in my life.

Are Mormons Christians?

Whitney
Yes, we are Christians. My belief in Jesus Christ is one of the core parts of who I am. One of the most important things for me is knowing that Jesus is my own personal Savior and that he suffered for my sins, pains, and sorrows. He did a personal Atonement for my weaknesses. Show more Show less

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Whitney
Yes, there is a prophet on the earth today. President Thomas S. Monson speaks for God. I know that I have felt the witness of the Holy Spirit when he speaks which testifies to me that he is a prophet just as Adam, Noah, Abraham, and Moses were. Show more Show less
