Hi I'm Kevin
I grew up in San Jose, California in a Latter-day Saint family and was one of a handful of Mormon youth in our school.
I am a husband and father and have been married nearly 30 years to the same wonderful woman. When I'm not working helping others save and protect their financial present and futures, I like to garden, take pictures and work on my home. My wife and I recently got into bird watching and have a nice little garden in our backyard where we can watch a wide variety of birds come to our feeder and fly around. I enjoy traveling with my wife to various parts of the country and the world. We have met many great people during our travels. My wife and I both work full time but long for the weekends when we can spend more time together and get things done. We both went to BYU and our daughter graduated from there also. She now has a good job in another state and we look forward to our visits with her.
Why I am a Mormon
I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I have a personal testimony of the truths that it contains. Everything I see testifies of the divinity of our Saviour, Jesus Christ and our loving Father in Heaven. The Book of Mormon compliments the Holy Bible and helps to clarify the hard to understand parts. I have been to many of the Temples and am grateful for the opportunity it gives me to be a better person, to learn more about why we are here and to teach us how to return to our Heavenly Father. I invite all to read the Book of Mormon and see how it changes lives.
How I live my faith
I have held many positions in the wards I have lived in throughout the country. It doesn't matter what I do so long as I am able to serve and do my best helping others. From helping people move in and out of our area with the other members of our ward, to participating in ward socials, and teaching youth in our young men's program, I have enjoyed being in the middle of it all. Perhaps the most joy comes from my calling as a home teacher, when I get to visit with other members of the ward and be their friend and confidant. Besides being active in church there are many opportunities to help out with scouts, service clubs, helping our neighbors and those in need. I have been a member of the church all my life. I have seen the church in various parts of the world and can testify of the spirit I've found wherever I've gone.
