Hi I'm Charlie

I am passionate about my family and solving problems. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married, five adult daughters and three grandchildren. I live in midwest although I was raised in Utah. I have lived for short periods of time in Mexico, England, California and China. I am an software engineer currently working as a consultant.

Why I am a Mormon

In my mind the teachings of the church on our eternal lives makes complete sense. We have a loving Heavenly Father and he has placed us here on earth to learn and demonstrate our faith. We will not be judged on what we have done but we will be judged on what we have become. Along the way we have done the wrong things which normally would prevent us from returning to the presence of our Father. However, we have a Savior that has paid the price for us so that those things become experiences from which we learn rather than preventing us from returning to our Father. It requires faith, work and repentance to change our hearts from focusing on the things of this life to focusing on the things of eternity. There is a plan for our existence, there is hope for our eternity and I can be with my family though out eternity. In my heart as I have put the teachings of the church into practice I have experienced the confirmation from God that the principles are true. I am a Mormon because I have felt the Spirit of the Lord bear witness to its teachings as I have tested them out and have prayed to know of their truthfulness.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be a neighbor to everyone. We are all struggling to make it through this life and we can all help someone else in our path. The church gives me opportunities to be neighbor to some by asking me to pay particular attention to two families in our congregation. In addition I get to help the cub scouts by working with their leaders to create a successful program.
