Hi I'm Justin

I'm a Mormon. Striving to be a little more like my Savior each and every day.

About Me

I have a wonderful wife and four amazing children. Though I have a career that I enjoy and in which I find great satisfaction, no title I have is more precious to me than "dad." My wife and I are working together to build a home where our kids can grow, learn and love. In our spare time - which is sometimes hard to come by - we enjoy golf, movies and playing the Wii with our kids. The gospel of Jesus Christ is the cornerstone of our family, and we are eternally indebted to Him for our joy and fulfillment in this life and the promise of blessings in the life to come.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is more than just a church; it is the Lord's kingdom on earth, whose purpose it is to help all to come unto Christ and find joy thereby. There was a time when I was young that you could have said that I was a Mormon because I was born one. That has changed. Experiences too numerous and some too personal to share have given me the conviction that this church is indeed Christ's church, built on the principle of agency. I am a Mormon because the doctrines and principles taught in this church bring me hope, peace and joy, but never have I been taught to coerce, cajole or tear down. We simply declare what we believe to be true and invite all to hear the message and act, if they so choose.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith hour-by-hour and day-by-day. Being a Mormon is not something I do each Sunday or when someone is watching; I'd like to think my faith is who I am, not what I do. That said, I do some things that ought to tip others off to how I believe. I don't smoke or drink. I'm faithful to my wife and I strive to be honest in all I do. My top priority is my family, not only because I love each one of them, but because I believe we will be a family forever. I currently work to assist the missionaries of our Church in finding and teaching those who are not of our faith but have interest in it. I also strive to be a good neighbor and friend to all those around me - regardless of the religion they practice or the type of life they lead.

What is the priesthood?

Justin
The Priesthood is God's power, which He has entrusted to men on the earth to carry forth His work. I hold the Priesthood and have used it to bless those around me, including members of my family and close friends and neighbors. In so doing, I also am blessed. I have used the Priesthood to bless those who are sick, to baptize my daughter and to bring comfort to those who need it. It is an honor and privilege to have God's trust and power. I am working each day to remain worthy of it. Show more Show less
