Hi I'm Debbie

I'm a Mormon. I am a wife, mother of 2 and grandmother of 6.

About Me

I am a navtive in the most beautiful state of Colorado. It is known as "Colorful Colorado". I live on the other side of the continental divide where we say the water runs backwards. Also known as the Western Slope. It's wonderful over here. The weather is mild in the winter and we don't get near as much snow. I have been happily married for 37 years to a great man who honors his priesthood and has a strong testimony of the church. I am a mom and grandma. I joined the church 37 years ago. I love to do crafts, quilt, camp with family and visit friends. I like taking vacations with my husband and seeing new things. I am an active member of the church and love being a member.

Why I am a Mormon

I was dating my now husband and he converted me to the church. I remember the first time I walked into the chapel. Everyone was so friendly and nice. I really enjoyed the speakers. It just wasn't a minister giving a well script sermon, it was actually members baring their testimony of our Savior Jesus Christ and how he has helped them through their life. I felt something special that day (not knowing it was the Holy Ghost). Family is very important to me and watching the members with their families, I knew it was important to them. I love the church and I have a testimony that I know our Savior lives and love us. I know this is the true church and I know if I follow his commandments I will be able to return to him someday.

How I live my faith

I love serving the Lord. I am the President of the women's organization in the church. We have quilting, exercise classes, book club and several different activities every month. We also participate in the community with several projects and are involved in the World Day of Prayer every year.
