Hi I'm Jennifer Barber

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 37 y/o/ mother of an 8 year old daughter and a 9 month old baby. I also have an almost 12 y/o/step son. I have a supportive and loving husband. I graduated with 2 Masters Degrees In Counseling Psychology and Human services from Florida State University in 1999. I have been working in the field for 13 years. I currently work as a Manager of a Mature Adult unit in a Psychiatric Hospital and I love it.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always sought explanations for life and logical answers to questions. Deep down in my heart I never felt that my questions were answered in any other church I had attended. When I encountered the missionaries in my area, I was reluctant to hear what they had to say, but when they started talking, they told me things that I had always believed, but that no other church had told me. I knew that they were telling me the truth. The first couple times I attended an LDS church, the presence of the spirit that I felt was soooo undeniable. I knew that I was where I was supposed to be.

How I live my faith

I attend my meetings weekly with my family. I read my scriiptures, say my prayers and pay my tithe every time I get paid. I fall short in scripture reading and prayer sometimes, but I always feel the spirit prompting me to get back in my routine. I attend the temple when I can. I do my best to be a good example to my children and to be forgiving to all people. I have had many callings, but with the birth of my baby and working 7 days a week, I have had to back off alittle. Right now I am the web sight administrator and I make the church bulletins.
