Hi I'm Becca!

I love life! I believe everyday is a new adventure, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hello! I am a student, and I am studying Psychology. I hope to become a marriage and family therapist. I know how important families are, and I plan on dedicating my life to building up these wonderful, God-sent institutions. I want to be married someday and start my own family. This goal makes me so happy! I love life! I love adventures with friends, and late night laughter. I know that life is too short not to have fun. I enjoy the fact that my friends all share and respect my standards, and we all have great times together, without regrets. I play basketball and volleyball, and I love to play the piano, sing, dance, and act. I have a part-time job, and I am going to school full time. Life is busy, and yet, I wouldn't have it any other way!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in this church, and I learned from an early age the love that my Father in Heaven has for me. I remember being little and knowing that if I had a bad dream, Jesus Christ was my hero, and he would keep me safe when I prayed. In my teenage years, he was my best friend as I struggled with my self image, and changes in life. Now as I am a young adult, I can see how he has always been there for me. So I am a Mormon because I love my Savior. The Church has always lead me to answers that I could not have found on my own. I am so happy because I know that I am loved and I have a purpose in this life.

How I live my faith

I am so young, but I know that I have a place in my Church. I go to Church every Sunday with so many young adults just like myself. We all are away from our families while we are at school, but we know that living the gospel of Jesus Christ has to be done on a personal level as well. I love studying my scriptures. There are so many little tidbits of advice for everything that I am going through. I also know that God hears and answers every prayer I offer. I grow in faith as I overcome trial after trial with him by my side. I live my faith by trying to show God I love him, and in return he blesses me with knowledge of his never ending love for me.

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

It was a commandment from God to pay tithing as far back as biblical times. No one in our church is paid for their service, even the leaders. So this money increases faith of the members as they sacrifice just a little bit, and it helps our church do so much good. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

We believe that we lived with God before we came to this earth. We were sent here on earth to work our way back to him someday. We know that he loves us, and so he has given us things to help us. These include the scriptures, families, church, and other uplifting activities. God knew that life would also be hard as we face all the challenges and heartbreak that come from going through life, but in the end, it will all be worth it. Show more Show less
