Hi I'm Lindsey

I grew up in the United States. I am studying Therapeutic Recreation. I want to help people. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm an amatuar Photographor. I love art. I plan to use art as a Recreational Therapist. Right now i am going to school studying this. I love to travel. Especially outside of the United States. Recently I just took a trip to Iceland! It was amazing! I love swimming and crocheting. I am 24 and single. I do not have any children. But i LOVE my nieces and nephes! I spoil them rotten!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon, because i know that the Lds Church is the church of Jesus Christ. I know that it was restored to the earth by the Prophet Joseph Smith, and that it has the authority to act in the name of God. I know this because i have read the works brought forth by this church, including the Book of Mormon, and i have prayed to know that it is true. I have been blessed many times to feel the Holy Ghost confirm to me in my mind and in my heart that this is the true church of Jesus Christ. I know by the actions i have seen others do, and the spirit i feel when i do my best to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon because i know that this is the path to true and complete happiness. I know that even when i make a mistake, or do not follow the teachings, that I can find forgiveness through Jesus Christ. I know that the Prophets and Apostles are true disciples of Jesus Christ. There have been many times that they have answered my silent prayers for guidance in life. I am a Mormon because it is true.

How I live my faith

I have the opportunity to serve the sisters in my ward. I attend with a group of young single adults, ranging ages 18-30. I am over the women in the ward. My responsibility is to teach them, uplift them, serve them, help them strengthen their testimonies, and understand the gospel. I try to bring them closer to Christ as well as bringing myself closer to Christ. It has been a great blessing for me! I love the friendship i have been able to foster, and the changes i am able to see in the lives of the women i serve. I am honesty in my dealings with my fellow men. I seek to uplift others, and not to tare them down. I do not find entertainment or comfort in drugs, alcohol, or sexual relationships outside of marriage. I do my best to be my best, and always to have the spirit near me. When I struggle with daily trials or pain, I find comfort in Christ. I spent 18 months serving a mission for my church. I spent each day sharing the gospel that i have found to be true. I also have spent a lot of time volunteering in my community. For the last few months i have been working with troubled youth.

Why was a Restoration of the Gospel needed? Haven’t we always had the Bible?

Lindsey
After the life of Christ the world fell away from the truth. The Bible was interpreted and translated many different ways. Things were removed and added to please the members at the time. Doctrine was corrupted. Chris'st authority to baptize and act in his name was lost. All the churches had a little bit of the truth, but no one had the complete truth. A restoration was necessary to bring back the complete truth. It brought the church that Christ started in his life back to the earth. And now it will never be able to be corrupted or lost again. The Book of Mormon was brought forth. It is pure and uncorrupted. It also serves as a second witness of Jesus Christ. It complements the bible. Show more Show less
