Hi I'm Kenny Barber

I'm a biomedical student from Ireland, I love sports and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 22 years old and am currently studying biomedical science at college. I recently returned from two years of missionary service with the church in London. It has changed my life. I love to play sports competitively and I enjoy reading and singing. I am very proud to be Irish but I hate watching my country play football.

Why I am a Mormon

For me growing up I was raised catholic by my mother and went to the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (mormon church) with my father. Because of both I began to develop a belief in God and i began to try what I was taught. As I practised what was taught to me in the Mormon church I had many small spiritual experiences that helped me come to know that this is the church that God wants me to be in. A I read and prayed about the Book of Mormon I had (and still have) spiritual experiences that help me know it is Gods word. It was a case of testing it out and it worked. At age 17 I chose to be baptised into the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with my mothers permission.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith through small things every day. I try to pray daily and read fro the Bible and the Book of Mormon daily. As in all religions I believe it is important to do good to those around us and I try to find ways to help and serve the people I am around every day. From making dinner to sharing my beliefs with those who have questions, I believe it's important to do simple things for others in our lives and try to be selfless though I often fail.
