Hi I'm Micah

I grew up in Wyoming. I'm a college student. I'm a friend. I'm a disciple of Jesus Christ. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am your average 20-something year old college student. I love to be outdoors- camping, fishing, hiking, star-gazing- nature is a wonderful place to be. I love to take pictures and scrapbook. I'm a biology major and enjoy pulling things apart to put them back together. I spent a year and a half in California and loved every minute of it... but am glad to be back in the wide open plains of Wyoming!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know that Jesus Christ lives, and tht He restored His true church once again to this earth through His prophet Joseph Smith. I have never felt more complete, more whole than when I have lived the principles taught in this, the true church. I had the privilege of watching lives change as I served a mission- I taught people just as Paul and Peter did, I witnessed miracles, and I had prayers answered as I served those precious souls the Lord entrusted to me. I know that God lives, and I testify that the heavens are open and that He speaks to man, He speaks to a living Prophet today. Have you ever listened to a piece of music that brought tears to your eyes, or held a brand new baby in your arms and felt an overwhelming sense of love for that precious infant? Have you ever taken a moment to recognize the grandeur and beauty of the world around you? Or watched a sunset that took your breath away? I have- and each of these experiences testifies to me that Jesus is the Christ, that He loves me, and that He has prepared a way for each of us to return to Him. I love this gospel. I love being a Mormon!!

How I live my faith

I live my faith through my every day actions. I am responsible for planning enriching and fellowshipping activities for a group of young single adults in my town every Monday night, we call this family home evening. We believe in the importance of family and unity; so families around the world gather every Monday night and spend the evening together, learning, laughing, and growing together. Because many college students are away from their families, we get together and have our own little "family" gathering and help one another grow and develop into who we all want to be. One of my callings, or responsibilities is to plan and coordinate these activity each week. I love to see the joy that comes from getting together and having fun.
