Hi I'm Kristi

I'm a stay at home mom of 2 almost 3 and I'm so grateful to be a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small town in Arizona. My husband and I met in college and have been married for 7 years. We have been blessed with 3 beautiful children, 2 girls and 1 boy. Some of my favorite pastimes include reading, blogging, crafting and being outdoors.

Why I am a Mormon

My family have been Mormons for generations. I was taught to live by Church teachings from a very young age. During my teenage years, I found myself question if the things I had been taught were true. I knew, even then, that if I prayed, God would hear and answer my prayers. So I prayed to know for myself if what my parents had taught me was the truth. My answer wasn't instant. It took a couple weeks of prayer and scripture study, but I did receive and answer. It was a simple moment of pondering and I was filled with a calm and peace that this is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that the Book of Mormon is a true book and another testament with the Bible that Jesus Christ is our Savior. I know that God knows and loves each person on this earth. We are His children and He will hear our prayers and answer them.

How I live my faith

In our ward right now, my husband and I teach a scripture oriented class for 5 awesome 9 year old boys every Sunday. They are fun kids and definitely keep us on our toes. Right now we are studying the Old Testament stories and try to learn lessons from them that we can apply to our lives today. I am amazed at how much these young men already know. They teach me things and I am grateful to have the opportunity to serve them every week. I also serve as a visiting teacher. Another lady in our ward and I visit 3 other women in our ward each month. We make sure they are doing fine with jobs and home and children. We also give a brief spiritual message. I love visiting with these amazing women and getting to know them better. They strengthen me and help me to be a better mother, wife, and daughter of God.

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Kristi
Absolutely. We also believe the Book of Mormon is the word of God. Hand in hand, the Bible and the Book of Mormon testify that Jesus Christ lives and is the Savior or the world. They teach us correct ways of living that will help us grow closer to God. Show more Show less
