Hi I'm Janice Fontanetti

I'm a Mormon and love it!

About Me

I was born in Brazil in 1956 and moved to US in 1984 for my husband to complete his College education. I'm a wife, a mother of 3 and a new grandmother to two grandsons. I attended College in São Paulo, Brazil and if I could choose what to do with free time, I would (1) get a book (2) start quilting, (3) start a crochet project, or (4) start any craft project. I'm passionate about the role of women in our society and have worked with many of them in our small town. I've worked full time all my life and still do it now, while serving in the Church. I'm happy and believe we all should think about others before we think about ourselves. And that's what happiness is.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the Church through a high school friend. We were seniors and just about to graduate; he worked in an office and one of the girls, also working there, just happened to be a Mormon. She was 17, and her name is Glaucia. She was the most powerful missionary I've known, because even though being so young, she was not afraid of living her faith. In about 2 months I joined the Church and never left it. I served a full time mission for the Church. I am a Mormon because I read The Book of Mormon, prayed about it, and feel deep inside that its teachings are real. They are true.

How I live my faith

I have worked with the women in my small town, at Church. I just loved it that period, when I spent many hours on week nights and on Sundays visiting and meeting with other women and Church leaders.

What is the Relief Society?

Janice Fontanetti
I LOVE Relief Society! All I am as a woman, wife, mother and grandmother I owe to the great relationships and teachings I've acquired through my membership to this great organization. The Relief Society is the oldest and largest women's organization in the world. Relief Society was established in 1842 for women 18 years of age and older. Its purpose is to build faith and personal righteousness, strengthen families and homes, and help those in need. Show more Show less
