Hi I'm Will

I'm a husand and a father. I'm a cancer survivor. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a lawyer in California. I enjoy hanging out with my four brothers, either in the pool or watching movies. I am married to a wonderful woman and I am the father of two boys and one girl. I love playing sports, especially soccer, volleyball and basketball.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Mormon church because it embodies the teachings of Jesus Christ. What I mean by this is that Christ's teachings are demonstrated in the daily lives of individual Church members. The Lord taught His disciples how they should interact with others, and by living those teachings we can lead fulfilling lives. When Church members try to lead Christ-like lives, happiness and joy are the results. The Church provides an excellent framework for creating family unity. My children have wonderful examples in their Sunday School classes, and my wife has made lifelong friends through Church. When I attend Church on Sundays I feel the Holy Ghost teaching me and comforting me. I enjoy a feeling of fraternity with other members who are also trying to follow Christ's teachings. I believe that everyone is a child of God, and that He has a plan to help His children grow and learn from their mistakes. Whenever we fail or dissapoint ourselves or others, we can change and repent through the grace of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ suffered for us and gave his life for us to help us return to God someday. I believe that God teaches us through the scriptures, and that the writings of prophets can and do inspire us to live better. I know the Bible contains God's truths and moving accounts of righteous people. I also know the Book of Mormon is true scripture, and I have felt the truth-confirming witness from the Holy Ghost as I read its pages. Joseph Smith was a prophet in more recent days who was used as an instrument by God to restore Christ's Church to mankind. As we try to live God's laws and repent of our mistakes, we can find peace and joy through serving others.

How I live my faith

My family regularly meets together once a week to teach our children a principle of the gospel. They look forward to learning something about Jesus Christ, and it is good opportunity as parents to focus on timely topical needs our children may have. Through Church I have opportunities to help others, and if I can make someone else's day better through a handshake or a kind word, that makes me happy.
