Hi I'm Danny

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Florida, Went to College in Jacksonville

About Me

I am married and have four children, three girls and one boy, six grandchildren, five girls and one boy. I recently retired from a local power utility after thirty-four years of service. I love working around the house and weight lifting. I enjoy taking the family to the lake for swimming and camping. Once a year I strap on the pads and play full contact football against the east side of our county.

Why I am a Mormon

My mother was a Mormon but my father was not. We did not attend Church very often but I liked it when we did attend. As I got in my teens I began to study the scriptures and attend other churches. I found out for myself through prayer and the power of the Holy Ghost that the Book of Mormon and the Bible were true books and that Jesus is the Christ and that "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints" is God's restored church on the earth today.

How I live my faith

I was called to serve on the Stake High Council of our local Stake. My duties are to watch over the Church and assist local leaders under the direction of our Stake President. I live my faith by visiting and serving the members of the church. I participate in service projects for members and the community, and each Sunday I visit the local nursing home and sing hymns to the residents. I also live my faith, by doing my best to be a good example by keeping the Lords commandments and bearing witness to others of the truthfulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. He is the way, the truth, and the life and the only way back to our Heavenly Father.
