Hi I'm Justin

I grew up in Utah, I served my mission in Wisconsin, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently going to school to obtain a degree as a construction manager with the hopes of someday being a project manager. I love to build and design things. My wife and I were married in the Los Angeles Temple on May 23rd, 2009. We have a 9 month old daughter. I love to play sports such as basketball, football, etc. I am an avid University of Utah fan and love watching college sports.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were members so growing up I went, naturally. However, the reasons why I am a member stem from my faith in Jesus Christ and my desire to try and live as He did and become as He is. Though I was born into the church, I do have my own conversion story. Through my own personal study, I have come to know the Savior in a personal way. I at times have made mistakes, some bigger than others, and have felt that deadening feeling we get when we do wrong and we know we are doing wrong. I have repented and have felt the Savior's love for me and an increased feeling of the Holy Ghost, which helps me to discern truth from error. And I am so thankful for a loving Heavenly Father who helps me every day when I am making decisions.

How I live my faith

I participate by visiting several families assigned to me each month to see how they are doing and uplift and encourage them. I am also a sunday school teacher, helping members of the ward to understand the scriptures through discussion and learning by the spirit. My wife and I go to the temple regularly so we can give others who have passed on the chance of accepting the gospel and have the saving ordinances done for them. We find peace and safety in the temple and receive personal revelation for ourselves and our family.

What are some things that tell to you there is a God?

Justin
There is a scripture in Alma 30:44 that states that "all things denote there is a God." To me, this is very true. From the majesty of the earth, to a new born baby, to a couple married and determined to be with each other for forever, not just for this life, denote that there is a God. Something inside me has always told me that I lived before I came here, and many things I learn in this life seem to have been taught to me before this. I know that anyone who earnestly wants to know if God is real can know. I have knelt down on my knees many times and simply asked if He was there and if He was listening to me. Comforting feelings have always come, feelings of love, encouragement, and truth. Show more Show less
