Hi I'm Philip

I grew up in Kansas City and joined the Church at BYU in Utah.

About Me

I am someone who found the gospel at 19 and my life has been forever changed for the better. After joining the church at BYU, I served a mission in Mexico City and then married my sweetheart after returning to BYU. We married in the Salt Lake Temple and we now have 10 wonderful children.

Why I am a Mormon

My older brother went away to college and joined the church. Through him and others I was intrigued by some of the church's teachings. Before I knew much about the church, I applied and was accepted to Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. I soon learned more about the gospel from my brother, his wife, and my new friends at BYU. After a couple months, I asked for the missionaries to teach me. I prayed to know if what they taught was true. I feel my prayer was answered and I knew I must have the courage to move forward and embrace the gospel. A few days later my brother baptized me and confirmed me a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I guess I have ups and downs like anybody else but the gospel of Jesus Christ helps me move forward and get through the difficulties of life. I know I would not have the beautiful family that I have now without the gospel. I find strength in daily prayer, scripture study, and serving others. My family is blessed by daily family prayer and scripture study. I have a long way to go but I think at least I am on the right path.
