Hi I'm Danny!

I'm pretty funny...and I'm totally Mormon-sauce.

About Me

I play the ukulele, guitar, play a little on the piano, I sing, I dance, and I love making people laugh. I am currently serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Morristown, NJ, but I also served part of my mission in Santiago, Chile, and in Tacoma Washington. I am loving every minute of it. I love photography and and blogging (although I don't do it nearly enough) and just being creative! I love to serve people. That's one of the reasons I wanted to serve a mission. If I can touch just one person's life because of an experience I had, then every trial I have is completely worth it. :)

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, but I never had a testimony until I was in college. I figured I knew what was best for me, so I did whatever I wanted to do. I tried life without the Gospel and I realized that my life was sore miserable and I was not doing anything that mattered to anyone, least of all, myself. One day my brother-in-law told me that I needed to change my life. A few days later, some missionaries ran into me and they asked me what I knew about Jesus Christ and about His Gospel. As I was telling them, I realized what I had been missing. I've been an active member since January 17, 2007 and although I've made plenty mistakes since then, my life is so much better now. I still face trials, those won't ever go away, but I'm happy. I am truly blessed to know that my Savior knows me and He knows what I'm going through. He loves me and wants me to find joy in my life. The only way I can do that is to follow His teachings. My testimony means everything to me. Without it, I would be so lost and hopeless. I know that God lives. He lives in everything around me.

How I live my faith

Right now, in my congregation, I organize all of the ladies into pairs and assign them a few people to go visit every month. It's sort of like making sure everyone has at least 2 friends they can rely on and that means a lot to people today. Everyone is always rushing about, so it's nice to slow down and see how people really are doing. I also moonlight as a photographer. I take pictures of everyone on the first Sunday of every month. Those pictures get compiled into a catalog for our bishop, so he can put names with faces of the members of our congregation.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Danny!
Missionaries proselyte because Jesus is the Christ. He is our Savior and Redeemer. He suffered in the Garden of Gethsemane for our sins so that we can repent and become clean and He died on the cross so that we may have eternal life. Show more Show less
