Hi I'm Carrie

I was raised by a Mr. Mom, I am living in Latvia, and I am a Mormon!

About Me

I just graduated with my undergraduate degree in public health. When I grow up I want to be a physician assistant and I am working hard to achieve that goal. I enjoy doing anything outside, painting, hanging out with my friends and volunteering.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because it has helped me realize that I can be with my family forever. When I was 1 my mother died from breast cancer. She left behind seven children under the age of 14 that my father raised by himself. Although I dont have any memories of her I know that she is watching after me and is helping me on my life's journey. This religion has helped me to know that I will meet my mother one day. Even though I miss her a lot, my pain has been eased by our Savior, Jesus Christ. He truly cares about your big trials like loosing a parent, and also your little trials.

How I live my faith

I am a medical assistant who works in a doctor's office. Often times I will get patients who come into the office who don't just tell me about their medical problems, they tell me about their life problems. Some would tell me about how their son committed suicide, their daily struggles living with cancer, or how they are constantly depressed. I was able to listen and talk to people about how sometimes bad things happen to good people. Hearing everyones stories helped me because I realized that everyone really is fighting a hard battle, even if you dont realize it.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Carrie
Mormom women are strong, confident, and have a deep understanding of the blessings of families. As a woman myself in the church I do not feel like I am unequal with the men nor do I feel like I have ever been treated like I was less then a man. The men in the church respect women by practicing chivalry. By divine design men and women have differences and only by bringing those differences together can we truly grow to our full potential.
