Hi I'm Ian

I live in London but originally from Scotland. I enjoy this crazy place. Apparently I'm a mormon.

About Me

I have held over 50 jobs since I came to enjoy living in the big city. I seem to like variety. From designing extensions for the royal family to serving dinner for the Prime minister and various IT, sales and customer faced positions. I play tennis and squash(like racquetball),do long distance cycling and walk 14 miles a day. I make videos and write screenplays. I like to cook healthy food but also eat loads of junk.

Why I am a Mormon

I never thought I needed a church but I always felt that I should respect the existence of a supreme personage. That changed when I felt a spiritual awakening which started when I was prepared to listen and study. The transition in my life was natural and allowed me to experience true happiness. If that sounds too easy and simple, in some ways it is but as complex decisions come along I still feel reassured with my decision to have made changes in my life to follow my Saviour, Jesus Christ. For me God did not die after the New Testament. It made sense to me that revelation would continue somehow.

How I live my faith

I work with new members of our faith and also with those who struggle with addiction. I enjoy listening to the changes that people go through in their lives. I don't think i'm perfect but I always see things I can improve on to be a better example of things I learn each day. I try to find a quiet moment each day to read or contemplate what I need to do that would help others or my own circumstances.
