Hi I'm Renae

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a wife and mother of 3 young girls. Being a mom is definitely more challenging than I ever knew it would be, but it's worth it. I love music and art. I'm a cosmetologist. People are my artwork! I love makeup, hair, and fashion. I'd love to get into photography and singing. Life has so much to offer! I also want to someday be a therapist for anxiety and depression.

Why I am a Mormon

I have felt the Holy Ghost confirm to me the truthfulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints many times. I have had so many experiences with answered prayers and blessings, that I could never deny that there is a God who loves me. I also know that God sent His son Jesus Christ to die for us so that we can be resurrected and live with God again. Jesus Christ has suffered all of our pains and sorrows, so He can help bring us peace in times of trials and heartaches. I have felt this many times in my life, and that's why I am a Mormon. There is much confusion in the world, but the Gospel brings me peace and clarity of mind. It helps me sort things out and be happy. I still have trials and hardships, but I can get through them with the Gospel's teachings and with my Savior Jesus Christ and God's help.

How I live my faith

Right now I am helping with the children in our local church. I love to work with the children. I think they are so close to Heavenly Father, and I love to see the light in their eyes. They are good examples to me.

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

Renae
When I read the teachings of Jesus Christ from His words in the scriptures or from words that He has inspired through prophets, I am uplifted. I can tell a drastic difference in my life when I am reading those things on a regular basis and when I haven't been. When I'm not, I get so confused and have a hard time dealing with challenging situations. When I have been reading them, I have clarity, knowledge, and a calm feeling that helps me to work through my challenges. Things just seem to go more smoothly. I have noticed this many many times. It's hard sometimes to find time to read and study the scriptures, but the blessings outweigh the sacrifice a million times over. Show more Show less

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Renae
Yes I do believe that we have a living prophet today! Twice a year we watch the prophet and leaders of the church speak to us and give us hope and direction. It always amazes me how they always know the things that we are struggling with. They know this, because they are inspired of God. There is usually at least one talk, sometimes several talks that I felt like was written just for me. That strengthens my testimony, because how else would they know what I need to hear? They always know, and I'm so thankful for modern day revelation! Show more Show less
