Hi I'm Glen

I'm a Mormon. I was born and raised a Mormon in Western Canada.

About Me

I'm 53 years old. Canadian. Happily married with 4 Children 5 Grandchildren and a little Dog I have 1 son 3 daughters a wonderful son in-law a wonderful daughter in law and 5 Grand daughters. My Wife and I own and operate an Electrical/Technical Contracting Company. I am currently serving for the church as a Pathway Missionary for BYU Idaho here in Canada.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints with a strong pioneer heritage. I was blessed to be born into a wonderful family with parent who were and are still faithfull members. The Church has blessed me and my family with a moral compass that gives us direction to a more full and happy life. I have come to know for myself that this is truly the Kingdom of God on Earth. I love the lord Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

One of the things I love most about the church is the opportunity to serve. There are so many different ways that we can do something that not only helps others but gives one a sense of worth. I am grateful to be able to serve as the Ward Mission Leader for the area that we live in. As a Ward Mission Leader I have the opportunity to work with full time missionaries and the members in this area to assist them as they work in sharing messages about our savior Jesus Christ and his teachings.

How is the Book of Mormon different from the Bible? How did Joseph Smith obtain the “golden plates” or Book of Mormon?

I am grateful for the Bible.I am grateful for those inspired prophets and scholars that gave the time and there lives so that we could have the teaching and witness that it brings. The Bible is important to me because it helped bring about the scripture I love above all. The Book of Mormon. Joseph Smith, (who also loved the Bible) a true prophet like Abraham, Isaac and Jacob translated it by the gift and power of God. The Book of Mormon is another witness to the world that Jesus Christ lives and is the only savior of the world. That He is our King. Our living King. It is by Him and through Him that we can have eternal life. That the Book of Mormon is true is a wonderful gift. An even greater gift is that I know it's true. I have received a person witness of its truth as do those who by faith in Christ that He can and will give the same through the Holy Ghost. All of its words flow into my heart with power. It gives me peace and I feel the love of God in it. It has blessed my life and my family. Show more Show less
