Hi I'm Jake

I am serving a mission in Cambodia. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My interests include motorcycles, snowboarding, writing, going on trips and adventures, music, movies, hiking in utah etc.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have seen what being a member can do for individuals as well as families. Identity and purpose await all those that embrace the Gospel and follow His commandments. I have been able to feel the Atonement of Jesus Christ in my life to wipe away guilt, comfort me when I am in trials, and allow me to overcome my particular weaknesses. Another important reason to myself is that I would not have my family today if it were not for His Church. I would not know the people I know today if it were not for His Church, and I wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for His Church. Giving up various things to follow Jesus Christ really does give peace and comfort and confidence as you try to bless the lives of those around you, and in turn bless yourself. Most importantly, I know it to be true.

How I live my faith

At this time I am serving as a full time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I focus on being a missionary 24/7 for 2 years. I spend most of my time studying, and teaching people about Jesus Christ. I love to read the scriptures and learn about Jesus Christ. Serving as He served, and emulating His example is when I am most happy and productive. It's not always easy, but I just try and keep going. We often serve in callings in the Church and work with others to keep everything moving forward. I try to serve others where possible and make others lives just a little easier everyday.
