Hi I'm Sharry

I'm a learner, lover, activist, artist, sister, daughter, and wife. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love reading, writing, learning, philosophizing, thrifting, debating, cooking, creating, and globetrotting. I recently graduated with a Master's of Public Administration and am currently working in an education-based nonprofit as the National and International Reading Program Coordinator.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the teachings of Jesus, the focus on family, and the church community. I love that we are taught to think, to be creative, to read, to learn, to study, and to pray in our search for truth. We are encouraged to "ask," "search," and "knock" with questions and concerns.

How I live my faith

Being Mormon effects every aspect of my life. It is because of the Mormon church that I'm working in a nonprofit and that, likewise, my husband is a school counselor in an underprivileged middle school. We always try to love and accept others, as Jesus did. We stand with those who struggle, morn with those that morn, and care without bounds.

What is the role of the husband and the wife in the family?

Sharry
Spouses are equal and are encouraged to communicate, pray, and make important decisions together. The important thing is that parents teach their children to love their Heavenly Parents and to love others. My husband and I plan on raising a family together as equal partners. Show more Show less
