Hi I'm Douglas

I am striving to become like Jesus

About Me

I am a father of 3 beautiful girls and one girl on the way. Currently I operate a business where I do web development. My hobbies include design, video, printing and software development.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was raised as a Mormon with parents that taught us about Jesus Christ and his Atonement, there came a point in my life when I needed to know for myself whether to believe in Him. I remember observing and talking to people from other faith's and those with no religious background. I found that what I had been taught made my life so much more fulfilling. This was not enough though, I wanted to know if it was real, and I prayed to God and he answered me. I knew what I had been taught was true and so I strive to keep His commandments. I know that it is only through Jesus Christ that we can return to our Father in heaven and I know that anyone that is sincere can receive the same answer I did. I also know that it will bring us peace and joy in this life.

How I live my faith

I attend church and take the sacrament every Sunday, trying to remember the covenants that I have made when I was baptized. Most every Monday our family meets and we talk about different ways in how we can remember Jesus Christ better in our lives and then we have an fun family activity and treats. Every night we take a little time to read from the Bible and Book of Mormon. At work I try to consider others and try to treat others how I would like to be treated and how Jesus would have us act and behave.

What blessings can we receive through the gift of the Holy Ghost?

We can be guided in our lives. I have had several occasions where the Holy Ghost has kept me away from dangers or helped me find solutions to problems. The greatest blessing is to have it witness truth and know it is correct. Show more Show less
