Hi I'm Jon.

I'm a husband and father. I love music, cooking, and watching good movies. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband to a terrific wife and a father to three wonderful children. One son is currently serving as a missionary for the Church. I work in the accounting office of a food and beverage company that operates out of the local airport and thoroughly enjoy it. I also moonlight as a motel night auditor. I love music--singing, playing the piano, and listening to good popular music. I enjoy cooking and eating good food. I like to watch good movies.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church. I have always been an active member, but I haven't always made the right decisions. I am grateful for my Savior, Jesus Christ, whose atonement allows me to repent of my wrongdoings and continually try to improve myself . Doing so is not always easy. Having support from fellow Church members and hearing the lessons, talks, prayers, and hymns each and every Sunday gives me the strength to carry on during the week.

How I live my faith

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has no paid ministry. Everyone participates in some way to help the Church function. I pay my tithing so that the Church can operate its meetinghouses and temples. I visit members in their homes each month and report back to the local Church leaders if there are any needs. I participate in Sunday meetings by giving talks, teaching lessons, and joining in the discussions. I help organize activities in which members can bring family and friends and enjoy good food, entertainment, and visiting with each other.
