Hi I'm Danielle

One of 8 children. Wife to my best friend. Sister to 7. Aunt to many. Daughter of God. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the seventh child of eight. I recently graduated from college with a Business Management; Finance degree. I LOVE food, so cooking/baking/snacking are all my favorite hobbies. I also love sports - my husband is grateful to have a wife that looks forward to March Madness, the Super Bowl and the Olympics as much as he does. Game nights with friends, movie nights with my husband and serving others is how I find joy in life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the happiness the gospel of Jesus Christ brings into my life. I have hope for the future and joy in the here and now. I know that I can rely on my Savior, Jesus Christ, to help me through the trials that arise in life. I am a Mormon because I know that I am a daughter of God and I want to return to live with Him someday. I am a Mormon because I have a testimony in eternal families and am grateful to be sealed to my husband for all eternity. I am a Mormon because I know that my Savior lives and that he loves me.

How I live my faith

I get to spend my Tuesday nights and Sundays teaching the Young Women (ages 12-18) in the church. They are so fun and witty and I always learn so much from their loving and kind hearts. I live my faith each day by studying the scriptures and praying to my Heavenly Father. I live my faith by serving those in my sphere of influence. I live my faith by sharing my knowledge of the living Christ.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Mormon women are strong, smart, creative, loving and most importantly, Mormon women are selfless. As a Mormon woman working in industry, I am often asked how I feel about quitting work when I have children and if I will be satisfied with just being a mother. This always brings a smile to my face. It is as if I know a secret that others have not be told - I cannot wait to be a stay-at-home mother. It will be the biggest promotion I will ever receive. Heavenly Father will have entrusted the care of some of his beloved children to ME. Behind every successful family is a strong woman. Mormon women serve. There is not a funeral without meals for a month, there is not a doctor's appointment where babysitting is not provided, there is not tear without a shoulder to cry on. Mormon women know how to sacrifice time and sleep to ensure that Heavenly Father's children are being taken care of. There is a misconception that women in the church are not equal to men. This could not be more far from the truth. We believe that the family is the center of God's plan of life. Marriage is a true partnership of equals. Both parties have different responsibilities, both parties have strengths and weaknesses and most importantly both parties rely heavily on each other to succeed. Church structure is very similar to that of a family. Men and women have different responsibilities, both have strengths and weaknesses and both rely heavily on one another to ensure that all responsibilities of the church are fulfilled. I am proud to be a Mormon woman. Show more Show less
