Hi I'm Scot

I'm a radio DJ, an entertainer, a designer and oh yeah, I'm proud to be a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up mainly in Minnesota and spent the most of my youth in a small town southwest of Minneapolis. I am the father of two beautiful daughters and lucky husband to my beautiful best friend. We have been married for 8 years and also have two dogs. I have lived in a variety of different places around the world such as Arizona, Utah, Nevada, Alaska and England. Even in all my travels, I have always considered Minnesota home, and just recently we moved back to my home town. I really enjoy fishing, camping, and riding my motorcycle on a nice spring day. I was a radio DJ for 12 years out West and am currently still in radio, just on the other side doing advertising. However, I do the occassional remote and sports play-by-play on our stations well. Having spent a couple of years doing improv comedy think How's Line Is It Anyway? I do some entertaining during professional baseballs games in town as well.

Why I am a Mormon

Why not? The values are strong. There is a high level or morals. And I believe it is the true church on the earth today. Although I was born into the church, I haven't always been the most outstanding member. But even during those times, I knew I was loved and felt needed by members of my ward. They honestly cared about me and let me know it by word and deed. I was born into the church, but I choose to live my religion and stay active in the church. Heavenly Father has blessed me with free agency, and that is my choice to stay actively involved.

How I live my faith

Without a doubt it is by example. I am not a biblical scholar or scriptorian. However, I know what is in my heart and I know how I was raised and I follow those examples those around me, including my Saviour, and live my religion by actions. Sir Francis of Assisi said "Preach the Gospel at all times and when necessary use words." I try to live by these words every day.
