Hi I'm Larissa

I'm a 29-year-old certified natural healer. I am the mother of two sweet girls and the wife of a hard-working man. I am a Mormon!

About Me

My little family is the most important thing to me.

Why I am a Mormon

I choose to belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I feel secure and loved within its doctrines. I know it is Christ's church restored on in modern times because my heart tells me it is true!

How I live my faith

My calling in Church is to teach the women's study group once a month. I love the women in our church! To keep myself and my family spiritually strong, I read my scriptures daily and talk to my Heavenly Father through prayer. My husband and I make time to study and discuss the scriptures together every day as well. We also attend our local church on Sunday and we attend the nearest Temple as often as we can for additional instruction about Heavenly Father's plan for our happiness.

Why don’t Mormons drink coffee, tea, or alcohol? What is the Mormon Church’s law of health and proper diet?

Larissa
Well, we could talk about all these studies that have been done about why coffee, tea, tobacco, and alcohol are so bad for us, but when it comes right down to it, that's not why we have that commandment. I choose not to drink coffee, tea, or alcohol because I know that the Lord doesn't want me to! I believe that Joseph Smith was a Prophet of God and any revelation that came through him is directly from God. That's simple enough for me. Also, we know that any time God give us a commandment, He also includes a promise of blessings for us if we obey that commandment. With this one, He says, "Take good care of your bodies and you will be healthy both physically and spiritually." That's enough reason for me to be obedient. Show more Show less
