Hi I'm Hayley

I'm a mom, a runner, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay at home mom with 3 kids. I have been married for more than 12 years and a mom for more than 8. I was born in Canada but have lived most of my life in the United States of America. My Mom was born in Australia. So I consider myself, American, Canadian, and Australian. I am grateful for my culturally diversified upbringing. I have a great passion for running and fitness. I have been running since I was young. I was a sprinter in college and high school and now I consider myself a middle distance runner. My new joy in running is going barefoot. Another passion of mine is decorating, or creating beautiful things and spaces with a very small budget. I love living in a clutter free, mostly clean, sometimes peaceful home. Other interests of mine are, jewelry making, sewing, and crafting. I love getting to know people and making new friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because of the feelings I have as I live the principles of the gospel. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is truly the Savior's own church. Even though I was raised in the LDS church, I had to come to a knowledge of the truthfulness for myself. I don't know if I have ever had one big bang moment but I have had many small moments of inspiration, answers to prayers, and miracles in my life that have revealed the truthfulness of the church to me. I know that Heavenly Father knows me personally. I know He answers my prayers in ways that are relevant to my life. I know that every single person who has existed on this earth is a child of a loving Heavenly Father. I also know that every person who has lived on the earth will have the opportunity to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ and to accept it if they choose. Even children who have died and never heard of Christ will have the chance to learn of Him and accept Him. This is a great truth! The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is not exclusive, it is inclusive. The LDS church invites all who want to hear our message to come and hear it. There are prophets on the earth today just as there were prophets long ago that we read about in the Bible. The president of the church is Thomas S. Monson and I revere him as the mouthpiece of the Lord in 2011. I know that the Book Mormon and the Bible testify of our Savior Jesus Christ and that each book is a companion to the other. I believe life is all about the choices we make. I do know that my experiences have helped shape who I am. It is great to know that our choices matter, as well as our actions, and I firmly believe in the grace of God and can testify of His ability to save me. For this I am most grateful.

How I live my faith

I try to live my life in accordance to the gospel principles on a daily basis. Being a Mormon isn't a once week thing, it is part of who I am. My decisions and choices I make everyday are based on what I know is right and true. Every Sunday I go to church for the purpose of worshiping my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Sunday is a day of worship, it is a day where I get to leave the worries and stresses of the week out, and focus on the Savior and my family. I absolutely love the Sabbath Day. Currently I am serving as a secretary in the women's organization in the church. I also visit 2 women in the women's organization each month. I bring them a gospel message from a monthly church magazine called the Ensign.
