Hi I'm Marni

I'm Canadian, I'm married, a mom and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married to my husband since 2009. We have three children, a boy and two girls. We have busy lives and busy callings but we feel very blessed in our lives and with our family.

Why I am a Mormon

I have come to know that this is the true Church on earth today and that it is being led by a prophet who is called of God, President Thomas S. Monson. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and that He died for me so that I can repent and someday return to live with Him and my Father in Heaven. I have such a strong testimony of the temples and the work that goes on there. I know that it is important for us to go and continue to go so that we can continue to progress. I love this Gospel and love the blessings that I have received and continue to receive from living it to the best of my ability.

How I live my faith

Since the time I was 14 I have served in various callings in the Church. Until I was 18 I served in different youth callings and then when I turned 18 I was called to be the Nursery leader. I absolutely loved this calling. I then moved to the Young Adult ward and was blessed to have other callings that have challenged and blessed me in my life. Now that I am married I am again being blessed with callings to challenge me. I was a cub assistant for 7 years and got to work with my mom who is the Akela. I was also a primary teacher for 7 years. I am now the primary secretary and am enjoying the challenges that come with this calling. Over the years I have become more open about being a member of the Church then when I was in high school and I feel that it has helped prepare me for times when I am asked about the Church and what I believe in.

What are Mormon Temples used for?

The temples are used for many different things. They are used for sacred ordinances that can only take place in these places. One of the most important things that takes place in the temple is the sealing of a man and woman for time and all eternity. This is something very near and dear to my heart as this happened two years ago for me and my husband. The temples are a wonderful place that you can feel the love and spirit of our Savior, as it is His house.   Show more Show less
