Hi I'm Angie

I'm married with 5 children and I have been a Mormon all of my life!

About Me

I am married and a mother of 5 children. I work full time managing a doctor's office. I have been a member of the Mormon Church my whole life. I love music, dancing, sports, reading and spending lots of time with my husband and children.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon by default. Meaning, I was born into the church. I am the youngest of 7 children and my parents were both active members of the church. I feel that it is only in the past few years of my life that I became completely converted to the church and started to understand what my testimony was all about. Sometimes when you are born a Mormon, you take for granted the teachings and forget to truly become converted. I am so thankful for the teachings of this church. I am thankful that in my marriage, because of our beliefs, we have a common goal in life and our understanding of what is important is the same. If we did not have this in common, I don't know where our marriage would be. I am thankful that as I have raised my children, I have guidelines of standards to teach my children and in church those same standards are taught. I have just begun to realize the love that my Savior has for me and the magnitude of the sacrifices he has made for me. How wonderful it is to realize that I am a daughter of God, that I know he loves me, and that I can live with him and my family as an eternal family. I am not perfect, I make mistakes, but I am so thankful that I can repent of my mistakes and be forgiven and still live eternally with my loved ones. I lost my father to cancer when I was 12 years old. I am so thankful that I know I will see him again. I am very involved in my children's lives, they are mine and my husband's world. I am very comforted to know that we will be together forever, not just for our earth life but for forever. I continue in my faith because I know that because my Heavenly Father loves me, he sent his son to die for me and has provided a way for me to return home to him one day.

How I live my faith

My faith effects every single aspect of my life. It has shaped who I am and who I want to become. I am very active in the community I live in. I have always been active in school and in volunteering. I did this for my children when we lived in Texas and I do this now. I have been the booster club president for the football team as well as a class Mom and just volunteered through different school functions. I also am very active in church. For the last 6 years I have worked with the youth. I have taught them Sunday lessons, I have gone to girl's camp with them and participated with them in their activities. I have laughed with them and cried with them and watched them grow into beautiful young ladies. I have worked with the elementary aged children in preparing them to advance into the youth programs. I currently serve with the ladies in our church. I enjoy teaching them, visiting them in their homes to make sure they are doing okay and leaving a message with them. I help organize fun and uplifting events where we can socialize and build good, lasting friendships. I love being a part of an "extended family" that I go to church with. I love learning knew things and having a good feeling every time I am at church.

What is being a Mormon like?

I love being a member of the Mormon church. It is a way of life. It is the very essence of who I am. It has taught me my values and it is where I formed my faith in my Savior Jesus Christ. It is a very family oriented church that believes in strong family values and I am so thankful to be a member of this church. Show more Show less
