Hi I'm Jared

I love wakeboarding, golfing, and basketball. I have a beautiful wife, awesome family, and a little girl on the way. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am absolutely the type of person that loves all kinds of sports. I love basktball, baseball, soccer, football, wakeboarding, snowboarding, fly-fishing, surfing, and pretty much any other sport you can think of. I am a very competative person and I think that it runs in the family! I have always tried to be the best at everything I do and It has been difficult sometimes to accept failure. But I try to always learn from my experiences and know that the next time they come I'll be ready. I have a beautiful wife who I've been married to for six years now. We are best friends and love to just hang out. We are excited to bring a little girl into our family in the coming months and can't wait to start that adventure! I graduated from Arizona State University (ASU) with a degree in Accounting. I currently work for a private accounting firm as an audit associate but have many ideas in my head as to what I want to do in the future as far as a career goes. I plan on going back to college for my MBA as well as taking the CPA exam. Education has always been important to me, and I want to be able to provide for my family in a way that will allow me to spend as much time with them as possible. My family has always been so important in my life. I grew up with such a close-knit family and I want my own family to be the same. I have excellent parents who love and support me, and my siblings are just the coolest people I know.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I took upon myself the promise made by a prophet of God, which was to ask him myself if the Book of Mormon was true and if Joseph Smith was indeed a prophet of God. The fact of the matter was really that either the Book of Mormon was true scripture, or it wasn't. So I read the book and got on my knees and prayed, asking God, if the book was true. I received such an overwhelming declaration from the Holy Ghost that it was true and from that moment on I knew that I had found the truth. Since I had a testimony of the Book of Mormon, I knew that Joseph Smith had to have been a prophet called by God. I also knew that the church that he restored on the earth, was indeed the true church of Jesus Christ in these latter days. The same organization that he established when he was on the earth.

How I live my faith

Sometimes it's the smallest decisions that can change your life forever. I often reflect on the choices I have made and they all are in one way or another connected. My choices, however I want to use them, were given to me simply because of my savior Jesus Christ. When I was baptized, I decided to base all of the choices I was to make in my life on the principles of the gospel. Keeping my body morally and physically clean, obeying my parents and keeping God's commandments, serving the community I live in and participating in the Boy Scout program. Knowing that when I turned 19 I was going to serve a mission and needed to have faith to be able to do so. Being worthy and able to take the girl of my dreams to the Lord's house to be married for time and eternity. These were the choices I wanted to make, and I have done everything I could possibly think of to make sure it happened. I am blessed to have been able to make all these decisions a reality and know that my faith has enabled me to do so. There are so many trials and bumps that have come and will come, but my faith in Jesus Christ has supported me through them all.
