Hi I'm Carrie

I grew up in a small town in Idaho. I taught elementary school and now I am a mom. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother. I have a master's degree in elementary education with an emphasis in reading. I have been an elementary school teacher where I taught 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade. I go back and forth between 2nd and 3rd as my favorite. I like to quilt and I love to learn!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I read the Book of Mormon. The Book of Mormon taught me more about the Savior and helped me come to know Him. I felt His love for me.

How I live my faith

I visit a few women each month to see how I can help them and I share thoughts of hope and inspiration with them. I also teach a Sunday School class of 13-14 year old kids. I do my best to teach my children to do what is right and believe in Jesus Christ.

Are Mormons Christians?

Carrie
Yes! A Christian is one that believes and follows Jesus Christ. Mormons believe in Jesus Christ and strive to follow His example. We have faith in Him. The official name of our church is, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Within the official name of the Mormon Church is His name because we are His Church. Show more Show less

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Carrie
Full time missionary service is voluntary. Just recently, the age changed for young men and young women as to when they can begin their service. For young men it is 18 and young women they can be 19. Young men typically serve for two years and young women serve for 18 months. Missionaries come from around the world and they can be called to many different places throughout the world. Each missionary pays for their own service. Show more Show less
