Hi I'm Stephanie

I am an Arizona native. I love crafts, Mexican food, kids, and having fun. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I was born and raised in Mesa, Arizona. I am college student, majoring in Family and Human Development. I love children and enjoying working with children with Autism. I hope to continue working in this field by becoming an occupational therapist. I am in the fun years of young adulthood and stuck in the time of decisions. Between work, school, and life, I feel like I am constantly on the go! In my spare time, I enjoy making crafts and cooking. I also enjoy reading, going on walks, and serving others.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because, after studying the Book of Mormon, and praying about it, I have received a witness that the words written in it are true. I have been going to the Mormon church my whole life, but it wasn't until I decided to personally study and pray that I found out the Mormon church is true and right for me. As I continue to study and ponder on different teaches, I have the opportunity to have that witness reconfirmed to me. It empowers me to know that this is where I am supposed to be and to see how living the principles taught in the Church bring happiness and success. Life is hard and challenging, but with the Gospel, I have the strength to make it through. I know with out a doubt the Mormon Church is true and I am so grateful to be a member of the church. It is the biggest blessing in my life!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by making it a part of my daily activities. Every day, I strive to study the Book of Mormon and pray. I also make a special effort to live by the standards I have been taught and to think about Heavenly Father through out the day. My faith increases greatly as I recognize His guiding hand in my life. Being a college student, I also have the opportunity to participate in an institute class on campus. This is a class ran by the church and is part of my school schedule! It is a great blessing to go to that class to learn and study. I currently have the opportunity to serve on the Student Council for our Institute building. It has been a great way to live and build my faith, as I have the opportunity to serve Heavenly Father through serving the students at the institute.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Husbands and wife can be together forever through being sealed in the temple. This is a special covenant they make with each other, and with God. They are promised to be together forever, through faithfully obeying God's commandments. Through this sealing power, families can live together after this life. Show more Show less

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

We can come to know our Heavenly Father just like we would come to know anyone else- talking to Him. Through faithful prayer, we can communicate with our Heavenly Father. When we do so in faith, we can receive a witness that He is there and is listening. We can feel of His love, and have a knowledge that He is indeed there. We come to know that He is aware of us as we receive answers to prayers. And as we realize He is aware of us, we become more and more aware of Him! Show more Show less
