Hi I'm Stephanie!

I'm a classically trained musician, I'm an independent political analyst, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Stephanie, I'm 25, and I am a Masters student. I have a Bachelor's degree in Political Science with emphases in US Political Theory and US Constitutional Law. I am an independent political analyst, and political junkie extraordinaire. I'm an American currently living in the United Kingdom studying International Relations. I'm a huge dork who believes in living life the best way I know how.

Why I am a Mormon

I can't point to one big, life altering thing that changed my life and made me want to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I can't even say that its the little things that have made it for me. It really is one all-encomassing thing: Love. I'm a Mormon because of the love I have felt from my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I'm a Mormon because even when no one else is around, I'm never alone. I'm a Mormon because God is my Father and He loves me. I'm a Mormon because I know Jesus Christ atoned for my sins. He did it because He loves me. I'm a Mormon because even if it was just me who ever messed up, Christ still would have come for me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith daily by being the best person I know how to be. I do my best to live by Jesus Christ's words by "loving one another" by showing charity and kindness to the people around me.

Who chooses the Mormon prophet?

Stephanie!
I can promise you that God chooses the prophet. If you look at the Twelve Apostles and the First Presidency, you'll notice that they're ranked by seniority. When the prophet dies, the person who is next highest by rank automatically becomes the new prophet. God calls these men in a certain order, for a specific reason. Show more Show less

What is the Relief Society?

Stephanie!
Relief Society is for all women, ages 18 and up. It is an organization that brings a bond of sisterhood to women who live near each other as we serve each other and others in the community. Its a sisterhood! Its a place to feel loved and a place to feel like you belong. Show more Show less

What is the difference between attending church and the temple?

Stephanie!
The difference between attending church and attending the temple is just like attending high school and attending college. When you go to college, you build on the knowledge you gained in high school. Its the same thing with the temple. You build upon the knowledge you gained at church. Show more Show less

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Stephanie!
Of course not! Some of my favorite service activities I did with the youth organizations of the church were taking food items to homeless shelters or working with teens who are living on their own. We believe in following Christ's example. Jesus said to love everyone, and members of the church have been counseled to "forget yourself and go to work." Show more Show less
