Hi I'm Lisa

I am a wife and mother of three wonderful kids. I love life and I am happy because I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a person who loves people. I am a little shy at first, but once I get over that I love people to the end. I love being a stay at home mom and thank my husband for making it possible, by working, so I can stay at home. My three wonderful children are always keeping me busy and teaching me as much as I am trying to teach them. In my spare time I love to run. I would love to run a marathon. I also love to read and make cookies!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know it is true. It all makes so much sense. If life was a big puzzle and you were trying to figure out where and how the pieces all fit together, well the gospel of Jesus Christ makes all the puzzle pieces fit together to make a very clear and wonderful picture. I am a Mormon because I feel it to be true and because I can see the big picture and not all the thousands of puzzle pieces. Life has meaning and makes sense now.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is something that I have committed myself to. This means that I have committed to follow Christ and His commandments. It means that I love God and I love others. It means that I try my best, but when I mess up I repent and keep trying.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Lisa
No, we worship God, the Eternal Father and His son, Jesus Christ. Joseph Smith was a prophet in the latter days; like Moses was a prophet in the Biblical days. We do not worship prophets. We do believe that prophets receive revelation from God that help and guides us in our lives. Since Joseph Smith died we have continued to have a prophet on the Earth. Our current prophet is Thomas S. Monson. Show more Show less

Where did Mormonism and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints begin?

Lisa
The 'Mormon' church began with God. The gospel of Jesus Christ has been the same since the beginning of time. "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today, and forever." (Hebrews 13:8). This is His church and it began with Him. We do believe that there was an apostasy, but the gospel of Jesus Christ was restored to the Earth in 1830. Show more Show less

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Lisa
One of the best ways is to pray and read the scriptures. Show more Show less

Is it true that Jesus appeared in North America after his crucifixion and resurrection according to the Book of Mormon?

Lisa
Yes it is true. I also believe that He probably appeared to other people around the world because He is the Savior of the world; we just don't have any written records of these happenings. Show more Show less
