Hi I'm Pat

I am a Wife, a Mother, a Grandmother, a Great Grandmother and I'm a recent convert. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a housewife, retired from a life of truck driving, cooking in restaurants and in long term care facilities. I am a convert, baptized in 2010. It was a nearly 50 year journey to this point in my life and I do not/will never regret the choices that I made leading to my Baptism. Why did it take me so long is the question..... the answers came with Prayer made with real intent and 'listening' for the answers. The answers will come not in my time but in God's time.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the nearly 50 years of searching the truth of religion. I have read the Bible through and there seemed to me to be a lot missing. During the lessons given by the Missionaries there were a lot of things that began to me to make sense. With daily Scripture reading and Prayer the answers slowly came. I know that the Book of Mormon was translated by Joseph Smith and directed by God to do so. I now know that Jesus died for us so that we might be able to repent of our sins and be 'closer to him'. "Come, follow me", is all he asks of us. I know that we are given answers by the way of the Holy Ghost. I know that the Leaders of our Church are given insight as to how we should be directed and those insights are given to us in turn by them.

How I live my faith

Most recently I have been assisting in the setting up of over 350 nativities that will be our Stakes and Communities 'Festival of the Nativities' for this year. It is a beautiful and inspiring event. I love the Visiting Teaching that I and another Sister attend to monthly in visiting members and seeing if there is anything we can do for their family or anything they may need done that we could tend to.
