Hi I'm Carin

I'm a Navy wife. A step-mom. A Pre-K teacher. A full-time Grad student. An animal lover. I love the beach and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an avid journal writer. I am a book worm and hope to one day write one of my own. I love sports, being in nature, and trying new things whether foods, activities, or events.

Why I am a Mormon

Though I have been a member all my days, I can say as an adult that has experienced all that life has brought my way, that I am a Mormon because this religion gives me guidance, assurance, and comfort. When I had absolutely nothing, my faith alone and living the principles of this gospel gave me the strength I needed to continue. It gave me something to believe in and it restored my faith in the love that God has for all of us individually.

How I live my faith

I teach the preteen (11 and 12 yrs old) girls in my church sign language and show them how to use it to perform songs in church services. I also visit teach women in my church by visiting them in their homes to share gospel principles while fellowshipping, and assisting where ever I can. I like to stay active in my community by volunteering my time at local animal shelters.

Are Mormons Christians?

Yes, we believe that Jesus Christ was perfect and lived a perfect life, an example for us all to follow. We also believe he suffered for our sins and died so that we may live. He loved us that much! Show more Show less

What are Mormon church services like? Are visitors allowed at church meetings? Can I attend church?

Visitors are welcomed to church meetings/services. Services are three hours long but broken down into three seperate meetings within those three hours. One meeting everyone is together to listen to speakers and sing. Another meeting we are seperated (various age groups; children, teenagers, adults - teach on the level of the age group for understanding) for Sunday School where we learn from the scriptures with a teacher in an interactive way. The third meeting is for enrichment, fellowship, and to continue to grow and learn in the gospel as we are seperated; children - 3yrs - 12 yrs, young men 12 yrs - 18 yrs and women - 12 - 18 yrs, and men 18 yrs and older and women 18 yrs and older.
