Hi I'm Amy

I grew up in Delaware but now live in Utah. I'm a mom to 5. I'm a wife. I'm a friend. I 'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and mother of 5 beautiful kids. My greatest joy in life comes from my family relationships. I love my faith. I love my friends. I love my life.

Why I am a Mormon

There are a lot of distractions in my hectic life, but when I allow things to slow down, when I allow myself to feel the spirit, the truthfulness of the gospel is confirmed to me. I am regularly reminded through the spirit that I am a daughter of God. That He loves me and cares about everything that happens in my life. My parents were converted to the church a few years before I was born. I am so grateful that they allowed themselves to be taught. That they prayed about the Book of Mormon, then that they followed what they knew to be true.

How I live my faith

My faith is a part of my everyday life. There are daily opportunities to pray with my family, to teach my children, and to bear testimony to them and to others. I don't question what is expected of me, because I know the church is right and true. I know that the Lord guides and directs the church. I know that He is aware of me, which affects all of the choices and decisions I make. I attend church every Sunday. I don't wake up in the morning and question whether or not I will go. It is a part of me. I do it. I do it because I love it and it feels good.

What are some things that tell to you there is a God?

I am reminded daily that there is a God and that He loves me. He loves all of us. I see His hand in nature. In the beautiful greens, reds, oranges, and yellows that I see in a drive through the canyon. I hear it as I sit on the sand by the ocean and listen to the waves. The seagulls. I see it in my children and my husband. They are perfect to me. They are my treasures. I feel Him when I live how I know I should. I have seen miracles in my life and the lives of my kids. Nothing like the parting of the Red Sea, but miracles. He has guided my decisions. He has confirmed to me that they are right. I am sometimes completely overcome with emotion as I sit and listen to someone speak or as I watch a movie, read a book, talk on the phone with a friend. That warm feeling, that pounding of my heart...that is the spirit, bearing witness to me of truth.   Show more Show less
