Hi I'm Joshua Douglas
I'm a Mormon.
About Me
I'm a son, a brother, and a friend. I am the oldest of six children. I have two wonderful parents. I was always involved in theater and choir in high school. I love to sing, dance, and act. I love to laugh, play hard, and have fun. I am a good actor. For a long time, I hid how I felt. While I appeared happy, I was really aching inside. I was aching for someone to care about me. I wanted to be happy - really happy. I found everything I wanted an more in the Lord Jesus Christ. Through His atonement (when he suffered for our sins and sorrows) I was healed. I found happiness and an eternal friend. Because I now know who I am, I try to help others remember who they are and try to make their day a bit brighter than before I met them. I know what it’s like to feel left out. I know what it’s like to feel alone in a crowd. I know what its like to be hurt. I know the joy that Jesus Christ offers. I'm a son, a brother, and a friend. My name is Josh and I'm a Mormon.
Why I am a Mormon
I was born into the Church, I chose to be baptized, and I lived the life. I grew up living in a strong Latter Day Saint home. I know - independent of anyone else - that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints it is the true church of Jesus Christ restored to the earth. I know that - despite my mistakes - that I can be completely forgiven and healed through the Lord Jesus Christ. I know that it is true so deeply, that I chose to serve a mission and take my testimony to the world. However, I didn’t always know this. There was a time in my life where I made mistakes, as we all have, and I no longer had the peace that comes through living the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I made bad choices, as we all have, and I had locked myself in a dark room, and I had thrown away the key. I was lost forever... or so I thought. Through His goodness and mercy, I was healed through the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ. I made some changes. Some were easier than others. Through Him, I not only found the key, but the door to life and light!
How I live my faith
I live my faith by serving as a full time missionary for the church. This means that I dont go to school, spend time with friends or family, and I devote all day every day for two years telling other people about what I believe and why I believe it.
