Hi I'm Jed

I am a husband, father of two beautiful children, a graduate student in Microbiology, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am in my 6th year of a PhD program in Microbiology. I am married to my beautiful wife and have two adorable children. I grew up in central Utah and am the last of seven kids. I enjoy reading, playing most sports and being outside. Honestly, being with my family brings me the most joy.

Why I am a Mormon

I am far from being the man, husband or father that I know I can be. The gospel of Jesus Christ gives me hope and encouragement to strengthen me to not only become the man that I want to be, but to positively deal with all of life's struggles. The gospel of Jesus Christ also has given me a knowledge that life on earth is temporary. I am here on earth, preparing to meet God at some future date. Nothing is more important to me than to teach my children the veracity of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Families are eternal. The sting of death hurts and comes to us all, but through Jesus Christ, we will all live again and by our faithfulness we can be reunited with our spouse, family, loved ones, and the Savior and Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I try to talk openly to all I know about the importance of the gospel of Jesus Christ in my life. Every day I try to devote time to study scriptures and to reflect about my life and what I am doing and where I am going. At church every Sunday I am responsible for teaching the the 16-18 year old boys and girls. They give me much insight to the life and culture of youth today!
