Hi I'm Jessica.

I am a wife, mother, and teacher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom to a brand new baby girl! I have been married since June of 2009. I am going to school to be an elementary teacher. I have a deep love of music; I play the piano and sing. I love to craft, as well!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because I know that Christ restored His church through the prophet Joseph Smith. Being a member of His church has brought me so much happiness. I know that I will be with my family for eternity. I know that Christ loves me and that God is my loving Heavenly Father and that brings me so much peace when I am going through trials.

How I live my faith

I served as a missionary in Peru. I try to continue to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ as a missionary in my ward. I love to visit the sisters in my ward. I try to be an example of Christ in all that I do and wherever I am.

What do Mormons believe about the nature of God?

Jessica.
We believe that God is our loving Heavenly Father. He knows and loves each and every one of us. He cares about what is important to us. He is easily reached through prayer. He hears and answers us. He is not far away from us. :) Show more Show less

Why do Mormons baptize their new members?

Jessica.
Baptism is the door through which one must enter in order to start on the path back to our Heavenly Father's presence. It is our first step of Faith in Jesus Christ. We show that we are willing to follow His example, as He was baptized in the same way and by the same authority that we are in His church today. Show more Show less

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Jessica.
As Mormons, or members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, we live a normal lifestyle. We simply do so as we do our best to live the Gospel that Jesus Christ taught. We wear normal clothing, yet we strive to be modest in our clothing. We eat and drink normal food, though we take care of our bodies by using moderation and staying away from harmful substances such as drugs and alcohol. We participate in sports, music, media, though we strive to do things that bring us closer to the Spirit of God. We live in the world, but are not of it. We don't change our standards to be in accordance with the worlds, we live according to how Jesus Christ and the prophets of old and today have asked us to live. For me, living as a Mormon is living in peace and happiness! We have fun, too! I love to dance and sing and hang out! Show more Show less
