Hi I'm Annie Hiatt

I'm a mother, a daughter, a sister, and a wife. I’m an avid learner. I love politics. I am a busy mom of 7. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been happily married for 13 years. I have seven beautiful children who are my life. I enjoy being with my husband the most so that is why we are trying to start a business together. I homeschool off and on and I love it. I use the Jenny Phillips curriculum and it’s changed my life and my kids life for the better. I love working out in the morning and I love politics. I love learning every day especially about self improvement. Being a Mormon defines everything I do and say. I try to pray as often as I remember and listen to the voice of the Holy Ghost to guide my way. I’m a Mormon and I love it and I know it’s true.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member my whole life. I have a strong testimony of this gospel. I love the knowledge I have of where we came from and where we are going. I love having a living prophet to lead us in this life. I love knowing I will be with my family forever and not just until we die.

How I live my faith

Being a member of this church is not like other churches. It is a lifestyle. I live the gospel every day. I read the scriptures every day. I pray every day. I go to church activities. I try to make my Heavenly Father happy every day. I try to repent of my mistakes every day. I try to be a good mother and wife and fellowship people. I try to serve others. I love the peace this gospel brings to our life. I know we will be blessed by trying to do what is right and making strong commitments to follow the commandments.

Who is the Mormon prophet today?

Annie Hiatt
President Russel M. Nelson. I was fortunate enough to watch the broadcast when they announced this new prophet since our last beloved prophet past away. The lord was nice enough to let my know by the gift of the Holy Ghost that he is the exact man our Heavenly Father has chosen. I know he is a prophet of god and he will do a night work during his time as our prophet. He is a wonderful loving and kind man and I love him and sustain him. Show more Show less

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

Annie Hiatt
It is the same thing as various other religious places around the world. There are only certain areas the general public are allowed in. You have to live your life in a way that allows you to enter into His temples. In the temple we are married and sealed for "time and all eternity." Not "til death do you part." We believe we are married forever, even after this life. We also give people who have died opportunities to accept the gospel of Jesus Christ even if they were not able to accept it here on earth. What do Mormons believe about Jesus Christ? Do Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

Annie Hiatt
Jesus Christ lived on this earth. He suffered for our sins. He made it possible for us to go back and live with Him again. He is the Son of God. They are two separate beings. He died on the cross and suffered in the Garden to help save us all. We have to do our part too. We have to repent and try the best we can to make righteous decisions or we cannot live with Him again. He died on the cross and rose again. He defeated death and we can too one day if we follow Heavenly Father's commandments. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe happens after we die?

Annie Hiatt
I believe it is not that different from what it is like here except we don't have bodies. We are with our family but also have a lot of work to do. We are busy sharing the gospel. Death should not be a scary event. It is just moving on to the next phase of our existence. Show more Show less

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Annie Hiatt
We do not worship Joseph Smith. We worship God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ. We love Joseph Smith and believe he was a true prophet. He was a righteous man who did so much for the church. He taught many people the truth about God and Jesus. He received revelation from God and followed his commandments. Show more Show less
