Hi I'm Brad Tingey

I'm an accountant. I'm a sports fan. I'm a dad. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a dad. I love being a dad. Growing up I didn't really know what I wanted to be... and what kid grows up to say, "I want to be a certified public accountant". But, I knew I wanted to be a dad, like my dad. I love photography, even though I'm red-green colorblind, I love taking pictures of the world around me, but especially my kids. I work at a large public accounting firm, which is really busy. It is a struggle to juggle my responsibilities as a husband, father and senior manager in my firm but enjoy the balance my family and my faith gives me.

Why I am a Mormon

Because my faith helps me find hope in this world, perspective to life's events and a deeper love for my family. My parents and extended family are members of the church, but my parents encouraged me to find my faith for myself. I found my faith through living gospel principles and from the feeling I have received that my life is in harmony with Heavenly Father's principles.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through helping to organize our local congregation's efforts to be prepared for an emergency. My wife and I help to coordinate and assist those who are interested in preparing for the worst. I also teach on a monthly basis about a recent address given by one of the church leaders, providing me the opportunity to study their words on a more personal basis to help deliver the message to our class.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Brad Tingey
Serving a mission is a great blessing. I felt is was a duty to the Lord to Serve. I know those who haven't served for one reason or another, but serving a mission for a young man is definitely the expectation. I loved my mission service and its help shape my life for the good and provided me experiences no other opportunity could afford. Show more Show less
