Hi I'm Pat

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife; my husband and I have been married for 33 years, a mother of two beautiful daughters; one is in the Church and one is not. I have been retired since 1998 and enjoy our life in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Cooking is one of the things I most enjoy.

Why I am a Mormon

It has been nearly a 40 year journey for me and many things have happened in those years since I first talked with Mormon Missionaries in 1968. On June 18 2010 I was baptized and became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. As instructed by Missionaries that had been visiting for several months I Prayed and read The Book Of Mormon daily. One evening as I was saying my prayers it came to me that I should be Baptized on June 18. In that one moment I knew that all I had been reading about was true. Peace and contentment have been with me ever since and I will never go back to before. I know that it was the best thing to happen in my life in a long time. The love of family is one of the greatest triumphs of the Mormon Church.

How I live my faith

Reading the Bible and the Book Of Mormon and Prayer are now part of my daily routine. I try to attend Church Sacrament Services each week and am eagerly awaiting the opportunities that will begin in another eight months to go to the Temple. Even to just visit the grounds of our local Temple brings on such a feeling of quiet joy and peace.
