Hi I'm Cailean!

I love life.

About Me

Enjoying every moment in life is my ultimate goal! My husband and I have fun with our children and do our best to help them be successful in life now and in the future as they grow older.

Why I am a Mormon

As a young teenager, I became increasingly interested in finding a religion that I connected with. We were raised without a specific faith, although we celebrated the secular aspects of Easter and Christmas. I was exposed to all religions through friends and family (Seventh-day Adventist, Judaism, Buddhism, etc.) and felt I connected with all of them in different ways. I saw a commercial for a free video from the LDS Church and called to order it, and loved it. Soon after my older brother investigated the Church and was baptized, then served a mission. I read parts of the Book of Mormon while he was gone and prayed, and received a witness of its truthfulness. I was 15 years old. I already had a testimony of the Bible. It felt natural to accept the Book of Mormon as another testament of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Serving others is a core aspect of our faith. The Lord encouraged His followers to serve others, to comfort them, to mourn with them, and most of all to love them. We love others and we love our Savior through our sincere and loving service for His children.

Who was Joseph Smith?

Cailean!
Joseph Smith is best discovered through his own written history, found on LDS.org. When I was learning about the Church, I read through his entire history and felt a kinship with him. He was searching for truth just as I was, and at about the same age. He was a regular person, just as you or I. He had a divine mission, however, to restore the Church of Jesus Christ to the earth in these latter days. He suffered many personal losses and hardships and he was killed in the great cause in which he was appointed by the Lord. I am grateful for all that he did to restore the gospel to the earth. It seems unfathomable but we have seen many miracles in the Bible. If you believe in those miracles, it's easy to believe in the miracles in modern days. Show more Show less
