Hi I'm Lorna

I'm a Mormon because I believe in the restored gospel.

About Me

I am 54 years old and the mother of a 15 year old boy. I have been married since 1976 and have been separated from my non-member husband for almost 3 years. I enjoy talking and laughing with others in small groups. I like being outdoors especially when it is about 65 to 70 degrees. I like a flannel t-shirt and jeans and a leisurely hike in the mountains. Being at a lake or stream in the mountains is very uplifting and helps me to appreciate all that Heavenly Father created for us.

Why I am a Mormon

I first met the Missionaries 15 1/2 years ago, I went thru the discussions and decided about the 3rd visit that I wanted to become a member of the Church. I had the feeling of coming home, that this is what I had been missing and looking for. I believe that this is the restored church and that President Monson is the prophet on the earth today. I am excited to learn and teach my son the truthfulness of the gospel and the virtues and compassion that Heavenly Father desires us to have.

How I live my faith

I live it by prayer and reading of the scriptures, being fair to others, attending meetings as many as I can. And sometimes it is a struggle but definately worth constantly working at building faith and a testimony. I watch my prayers in action and see the results.

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

Joseph Smith thru the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and the tools of the Urim and Thumim wrote the Book of Mormon so that we would have another account of Jesus Christ on teh earth. Show more Show less

Are Mormons Christians?

Yes we are Christians. I believe in Jesus Christ as my savior and redeemer. I believe in the Holy Spirit and in our Heavenly Father. Jesus Christ atoned for our sins on the cross and rose again, he prepared a way that we might be able to live with our Heavenly Father again one day. Show more Show less
