Hi I'm Jessica

I'm a newly wed, a lover of music, sports and theater. I'm an avid reader, a crafty wannabe and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Colorado Springs, and I am a Colorado girl at heart. I love seasons. I love celebrating holidays. I went to BYU in Provo Utah for college and earned my Bachelors degree in Public Health, my emphasis in Environmental and Occupational Health. I love learning about infectious diseases, although I don't like the actual diseases themselves, obviously. In January, I went on a date with an extremely attractive man named Bobby and he asked me to be his wife three months later. We were married in June in Colorado and moved to Glendale, Arizona so he could attend medical school. I am working right now, debating going back to school, and loving life.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a mormon because the teachings of this church bring me happiness, peace and understanding. The church testifies of personal revelation and promises that we can receive direct answers to our prayers. I've had answers to my prayers that Joseph Smith was a prophet who translated an accurate record called the Book of Mormon. That book brings peace to my heart as it answers questions about why we are here and what we're supposed to do and where we will go. I have also received answered prayers that Jesus Christ was an actual person who in reality died so I could live again.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by teaching a Sunday school class to 6 and 7 year-olds every Sunday. We talk about things our Savior taught us in the scriptures. I live my faith by trying to keep the spirit in my home. I live my faith by being kind and Christlike. I live my faith by trying to keep the commandments, read the scriptures, and keep a prayer in my heart always.
